Conventionally grown cotton is the most pesticide intensive crop in the world. Not only do pesticides pollute the natural environment, but some of them end up in our cotton clothing and presumably on our skin. Organic cotton does not require any of these chemical fertilizers or insecticides to grow, and is a much better choice for the environment and ourselves.
